After the match, he spoke to Realmadrid TV and said: “We knew we had to give everything. The whole team played well and we deserved the win. The coach did an incredible job with the game plan. We did everything we wanted to do, pressing hard together and trying to create chances when we won the ball back. We did that and we’re very happy”.

“We're doing well in the first half of the season. Everyone knows we weren't at our best against Atlético, but that's just one game. We've only lost one and won all the others. We have to keep it up in every training session and every game, and I'm sure we'll do great things this season.”
