Lucas Vázquez scored the goal that made it 3-2 to round off the Real Madrid comeback against Borussia Dortmund. The Galician-born ace discussed the clash at the Santiago Bernabéu: “The team reacted really well after the break. We showed that we could turn the game around. We made a huge shift in our attitude and intensity both with and without the ball. You saw that on the pitch, we hit 5 goals and created loads more chances too."
“It's hard to explain the comebacks. Even though they continue to happen, it's difficult to explain these second-half displays. It's something unbelievable."
Vini Jr.'s exhibition
“He's shown yet again that he's the most decisive player in the world, he had an unbelievable second half. It's one to show the kids so they understand how football should be played, with that intensity and the hunger to go after the goals. I'm delighted for him."
How does he feel after the goal?
“It was a crucial goal for me and for the team. I'm really pleased with how we looked in the second half."
Second-half display
“We gave a really good account of ourselves in the second half. The whole team looked much better pressing in the high block, winning their duels and moving the ball far more quickly. That allows us to create more opportunities and get closer to their goal more easily.”
El Clásico
“We have a hugely important game on Saturday and we can't wait. We're going to go all out to win it."
