Real Madrid Castilla failed to pick up the points from their Primera Federación matchday 13 clash with Antequera, who sit second in the group. The visitors went ahead at the Di Stéfano through Iker Recio with just 8 minutes gone. Raúl's boys reacted well, levelling the game thanks to Gonzalo's 35th-minute strike. There were chances for both sides in the second half, and our team came close to making it 2-1, but ultimately, Elejalde decided the game in favour of the away side on 84’.
Antequera were ahead early on, after Iker Recio turned home a corner. As the minutes ticked by, Castilla managed to take the initiative, and came close to an equaliser on 30' when Víctor Muñoz enjoyed a double opportunity. The first was a fierce drive, which was turned away by Jero, before the madridista struck again from an angle, only to be denied by the goalkeeper once more.
Castilla were having their best spell of the game now, and the leveller wasn't long in coming. Edgar and Víctor Muñoz linked up beautifully to set up Gonzalo, who sent the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1. The forward continues his fine run of form, having scored in the last four. The game opened up again after the equaliser and Piñeiro was forced into a fantastic stop to keep the visitors from edging ahead.
In the second half, D. Jiménez presented Antequera with a fine opportunity to score but Piñeiro did superbly with a point-blank save to keep the game level. There were threatening moments at both ends, and Castilla were next to come within inches. Gonzalo rose highest to head a powerful effort towards goal, but Jero saved his team yet again. Then, with 84 minutes on the clock, the visitors snatched the winner as Elejalde's took a nick off Edgar's back.
