Borussia Dortmund beat St. Pauli Hamburg on Bundesliga matchday seven, ahead of their trip to the Santiago Bernabeu to face Real Madrid in the Champions League. The German side picked up their fourth win in the league, where they have also managed a draw and two defeats to keep them in the top half of the table.
Nuri Şahin's side took the lead in the 44th minute thanks to Bensebaini's header. However, Eric Smith equalised in the 78th minute with a precise shot from outside the box. Shortly afterwards, Guirassy decided the game in favour of the home side with a header (83').
