Goals galore in another away league win

1 month(s)

Real Madrid have won again on the road in the Liga F. Our team have won every game away from home in domestic competition so far this season, with Sevilla becoming their latest victims on matchday 21. A Redondo brace (34’ and 70’), plus Athenea's strike (41’) all but wrapped up the points, before Feller put the gloss on the result in injury time.
After our team had come close on various occasions already, it was 0-1 with just over half an hour gone when Redondo opened the scoring. A well-rehearsed free-kick left her one-on-one with Sullastres, and though the opposition keeper kept out her initial effort, Redondo made no mistake with the follow-up to put the madridistas in front.
The next goal came following a sublime team move shortly afterwards. Yasmim threaded a gorgeous ball in behind, Toletti and Athenea exchanged a quick one-two before the Cantabria-born ace, captaining the team for the first time, fired across goal and into the back of the net. Madrid continued in dominant fashion up until half-time, giving their opponents no chance at all.
Redondo completes her double and Feller rounds it off
Far from settling for the result, the team pushed on in search of more. With 70 minutes on the clock, Redondo pounced on a loose ball in the area to drill past Sullastres and finish the game as a contest. A short time later, the goalkeeper was sent off and Sevilla were down to ten. Academy graduate Elsa Santos made her first-team debut, and Feller completed the rout, latching onto a fine Athenea pass in injury time.
LINEUPS:
0-Sevilla: Sullastres, Débora (Paula Partido, 83’), Diana, Nazareth, Lucía Corrales, Iris (Alba Cerrato, 74’), Pamela, Cortés (Raquel, 46’), Gemma, Kanteh (Yoli Aguirre 80’) and Lucía Moral (Alba López, 46’).
