Real Madrid fell to defeat against Barcelona in the first Clásico of the season, the Liga F matchday 11 clash at the Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys. The game got underway at a frenetic pace, with chances for both sides. Feller could have opened the scoring with just 4 minutes on the clock, but her effort came back off the upright. With quarter of an hour gone, the hosts went ahead through Pajor (15’).

Pau Quesada's team pushed on in search of an equaliser, and Linda Caicedo came close when she was put through by Keukelaar's wonderful pass (23’). The game became an uphill battle on 30 minutes, when Pajor netted a second. Despite the difficulties, our team continued to look forward, and Weir's effort on 33’ had the goalkeeper beaten only for Paredes to clear off the line.

Chances continue
In the second half, the madridistas again enjoyed a fine opportunity to open their account, as Athenea was brought down in the box on 76'. Pau Quesada called for a FVS review and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. It wasn't to be though, as Coll kept out Weir's kick. In time added on, Barcelona added to their lead through Sydney and Aitana, bringing Madrid's 13-game unbeaten run to an end. Now attentions turn to Wednesday's trip to Arsenal in the Women's Champions League.
