Fede Valverde spoke to Realmadrid TV after scoring the first goal in our team's win over Valladolid. The midfielder's right-footed free-kick put his side 1-0 up at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Uruguayan went across to celebrate with Ancelotti and explained why: "He's told me so many times to practice free-kicks with different team-mates. His encouragement has helped me to get over my feeling of embarrassment or shyness about not wanting to pick up the ball. The goal is for him".
"It was a very difficult match, especially at the start. We found it very difficult, we couldn't quite manage to play the way the coach wanted us to play. I think we also lacked a bit of flair when it came to attacking, we were very passive. We improved a lot in the second half".
Second goal in three games
"Well, just like two years ago. I'm very happy to contribute goals to the team. The defensive work is also important, and I'm very proud of that. It's a part that I have to keep improving on because I have to make a lot of use of it".
The midfield with Tchouameni
"The coach asks that we try to play and that we provide the balance to Madrid. At times it's difficult for us because we're not used to playing together. We're going to keep getting better, we're very good players and we have a lot of room to improve".
Endrick's debut
"He deserves it. He has to keep working hard, he's very young. He's a long road ahead of him at this club, God willing. He must keep working and training hard".
The return to the Santiago Bernabéu
"It's incredible, being able to be with the fans and the family again after such a long time. It was a special day. Let's hope we can continue in the same direction".
