Chances
The first half ended 3-0, and right after the break, the fourth goal nearly came from a brilliant individual play by Brahim, but Donnarumma’s dive denied his shot inside the box. An even clearer chance came in the 57th minute. A superb long ball from Arda Güler set Vini Jr. racing from his half, but after reaching the penalty area, Donnarumma brought him down. The referee awarded a clear penalty, but the opposing goalkeeper outsmarted Vini Jr. from the spot.

Undefeated
As the minutes ticked by, Manchester City had an opportunity to reduce the deficit in the 75th minute when O’Reilly dispossessed the ball in the six-yard box, but Courtois showcased his reflexes by denying the attempt with his right leg. From that point to the final whistle, Arbeloa's side managed to maintain their lead for the second leg and finished the match undefeated.
