Castilla win comfortably at the Di Stéfano as Gonzalo scores hat-trick

1 week(s)

Real Madrid Castilla turned on the style to pick up their second win of the season at the Alfredo Di StéfanoRaúl's side overwhelmed Intercity in a match they dominated from start to finish, with Gonzalo, who scored three goals, and Hugo de Llanos, who scored twice. Our reserve team took the lead with a penalty for a handball by Elady that Gonzalo converted in the 33rd minute. De Llanos made it 2-0 before half time and 3-0 just after the break. Gonzalo rounded off an excellent night by making it 4-0 in the 61st minute and 5-0 11 minutes from time.
Intensity was the predominant tone throughout the match. First the visitors tried their luck with a shot from the edge of the area that Piñeiro saved confidently. Víctor Muñoz responded with a shot from inside the area following a pass from De Llanos that went just wide of the woodwork (12'). On the half hour mark, our reserve team took a corner kick which struck Elady's arm inside the area. Gonzalo converted the penalty to make it 1-0.
Nine minutes later, in the 41st minute, Hugo de Llanos appeared again. David Jiménez took a corner kick, Mario Rivas could not finish comfortably and the midfielder picked up the rebound and smashed home to increase Madrid's lead with a volley. Before the break, both teams had chances to score, but both goalkeepers were on point to prevent any changes in the scoreline.
Second half goal-fest
Castilla continued to dominate after the break and the third goal was not long in coming. Gonzalo's right-footed shot from the edge of the area was cleared by Samu Casado and De Llanos got the better of the defence to make it 3-0. The madridistas continued their search for a fourth goal and Gonzalo secured a brace after connecting with a great header in the box from a rehearsed move (61'). The captain not content with that, completed his hat-trick in the 79th minute with another header from a Cristian David pass. A great victory and three important points for the reserve team.
