Twente-Real Madrid: all eyes on a Champions League quarter-final spot
1 day(s)
Real Madrid have the chance to make sure of their place in the pot for the Women’s Champions League quarter-finals in their next Group Stage clash. In order to do so, they'll have to beat Twente on the road (6:45 pm CET) and hope Celtic lose or draw in their match with Chelsea in London (21:00 h).
Alberto Toril's team have been their group's best performers at both ends so far this term. They've hit 13 goals and conceded only three to date, seeing them to victory in their last two European outings. The last came against Twente, who they beat convincingly at the Alfredo Di Stéfano, and as they go in search of a repeat performance, Toril has all six goalscorers from that clash in the once again: Méndez, Bruun, Feller, Weir, Oihane and Carla Camacho.
Twente
The Dutch side come into the game having recorded one win and two defeats in the Women’s Champions League so far. Twente need the three points to stay in the hunt for a quarter-final place, and they're sure to make life hard for us on their home turf.
