The Spanish national team, featuring Real Madrid players María Méndez, Eva Navarro, Athenea and Alba Redondo, were crowned Nations League champions once again. The reigning champions retained their title after beating Germany 3-0 in the second leg, which was played at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. The first leg, played in Germany, ended goalless. Athenea came on in the 70th minute of a match that was decided in the second half with a brace from Pina and a goal from Vicky.
