After the match at the Estadio de la Cerámica, Fran García spoke to Realmadrid TV about our team's victory over Villarreal: “The work and sacrifice from each player is key, from those who started and those who came on. It’s one of the factors that is helping us this season, that both the starters and those who come on contribute a lot and help the team. That has to continue to be the case”.

How has the physical exhaustion affected you after the match against Atlético?
“You're somewhat used to it because of the schedule, but it's true that the body needs to rest and recover. In these types of matches, which are so tight and so demanding with extra time, you have to get into the right frame of mind to make the effort. Now there’s a break which will come in handy for us, but the work has to remain the same. The work and togetherness at the end in this kind of games usually gives you a lot”.

“This is an important year for me. I'm playing a more important role. I'm working to get the confidence and rhythm I lacked last year. I'm feeling good, we must continue to do things well and I'm sure that the team will achieve great things”.

“There has been a lot of speculation about his arrival. I said at the beginning that he's an incredible player, that he's going to give us a lot and he's proving it. To have players like Bellingham, Vini Jr., Rodrygo, Brahim, Güler... I think they all do their bit and it's incredible for the team that they are all involved".
