1 hour(s)

The Real Madrid Under-19s defeated Olympiacos at the Proponitiko Kentro Renti on matchday five of the Youth League. This means that Julián López de Lerma's side remain unbeaten in European competition and have won all 15 of their games this season (five in the Youth League and 10 in the league).  sealed the victory with a penalty. With these three points, the academy team now leads the table and is just one step away from securing its place among the top six teams.

The academy side came out of the blocks strongly and created most of the chances. The first to test the opposition goalkeeper was Carlos Díez, who tried his luck in the 5th minute with a low shot that Georgakopoulos parried away. The Under-19s continued to carve out chances, but without much success in front of goal. Gradually, the Greeks improved and Filis connected with a shot from the edge of the box that Álvaro saved safely (38'). Despite the chances, things were decided in the second half.

After the restart, the Whites continued to search for a goal. Once again, despite numerous chances, the Greek goalkeeper kept Madrid at bay. Diego Martínez had one of the best chances of the match in the 66th minute with a nice shot from the edge of the box that Georgakopoulos brilliantly saved. The home side responded six minutes later through Vasilakopoulos, who saw his low strike crash against the post.
