Lunin: “Good results are the most important thing”

3 week(s)

After Real Madrid's league win over Leganés, Lunin spoke to the media: “We suffered a lot. It was important to win because we have to keep getting three points in every match. But it was a bit difficult for us after the international break. We have to be more switched on and organised at the back. Up front, we always find what we need.”

“I'm always happy to play, especially for Madrid. This is the goal and the dream. You have to work every day to succeed here, helping the team and enjoying the day-to-day. The most important thing is getting good results.”

Current state of the team
“There’s no secret. There were 16 or 17 called up for national teams. More travelling, more matches... especially for the South Americans. There’s a lot of changing of time zones. This all adds up and in the end, you struggle. We players can't change anything and we have to go out on the pitch, fight and get results. I think that today it was somehow noticeable that there was an international break, but we have to keep going. We have another important match in two days, we have to prepare for it and recover quickly”.

Starting
“It's the coach's decision. There’s chat before the match, there are two days of preparation and that's it”.

Rumors
“There are always rumors in every transfer window, twice a year. They’re talking all 30 days of the transfer window and not only about me, about all the players. It's normal”.

Llopis' role in the team
Llopis is a professor of set pieces, of some free-kicks, of detail... He prepares many things, not just for the goalkeepers, for the players too. I imagine there was a rehearsed play. He has had a look at what we could work from that free-kick. He is very detail-oriented and is very important for the whole team”.
