2 hour(s)
Real Madrid will open 2026 with a demanding schedule full of matches. Our team will play at least seven matches over four competitions in January, a number which could be increased to eight if they reach the final of the Spanish Super Cup.
Xabi Alonso's side will kick off the year at the Bernabéu, where they will host Real Betis on LaLiga matchday 19. Four days later, they will compete in the Spanish Super Cup, where they will face Atlético in the semi-final in Saudi Arabia. If los blancos win, they will play Athletic Club or Barcelona in the final on 11 January in Jeddah.
Another competition will be added to the schedule in the third week of the month. Real Madrid will face the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey on 13 or 14 January against an opponent that will be announced in the draw on Wednesday, 7 January. The action will continue on Saturday, 17 January, with a further league game against Levante at the Bernabéu. And four days later, our stadium will once again host a European match with the restart of the Champions League against Monaco.
The month will end with two away games. On 24 or 25 January, our boys will travel to Villarreal for LaLiga matchday 21. And on Wednesday, 28, they will travel to Lisbon to face Benfica in the last game of the Champions League opening round.
