Gonzalo continues his impressive goalscoring run at the Club World Cup. The Real Madrid striker opened the scoring against Borussia Dortmund with a superb first-time finish to claim his fourth goal of the competition. This took him level with Di María (Benfica) and Marcos Leonardo (Al Hilal) as joint top scorer, although both players have been eliminated.

After completing a sensational campaign with Castilla and finishing as Primera Federación top scorer, Gonzalo has now notched four goals in five games at the Club World Cup. In the group stage, he was on target against Al Hilal and Salzburg. In the last 16, he struck the winning goal against Juventus and in the quarter-finals, he set his team on the road to victory.
