Ceballos: “It was a very solid performance from start to finish"

1 week(s)

Real Madrid beat Getafe 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu and Ceballos gave his thoughts on the win after the game: "It was a very solid performance from start to finish. Admittedly, it took us a bit longer to kill off the game at the end, but the team was very solid and compact. We had a great game".
"We knew what Getafe were about, they're a very compact team who haven't conceded many goals. Until now they had conceded the same number of goals as us. They defend very well in a low block, but the team played with a good tempo and we created chances. Luckily we scored the first two we had and from then on it was a different game".
The team's improvement
"That was the only way to catch Barcelona, pick up three points at a time and that's what we're doing. We have another difficult game on Wednesday and Barcelona are also playing. It's a good time to continue to reduce the deficit and now it's up to us".
Personal impressions
"I'm happy. It's much easier when you have continuity. I haven't played for a long time, but I feel good with the confidence from the coach and my teammates. We're all as one and the team comes first. You can see that every player contributes when it's his turn".
