Castilla loses in Murcia

2 week(s)

Real Madrid Castilla lost at the Enrique Roca in Murcia. Raúl's side were pegged back from the start as they conceded a goal after just three minutes and, in the 18th minute, the Murcians scored their second. Although Ribes pulled one back in the second half, the home side scored again shortly afterwards to make it 3-1. Raúl's boys are now looking ahead to their next league fixture against Recreativo Huelva at the Alfredo Di Stéfano (Sunday, 15 December, 12:00pm CET).
The game started unfavourably for Castilla, who saw A. González open the scoring for Murcia with a header from a corner after just three minutes. Madrid reacted in the 10th minute, when Víctor Muñoz tried a shot from a corner inside the area that Gazzaniga saved. The home side kept up their high tempo and, in the 18th minute, Loren Burón added to the home side's lead with a fine shot into the top corner from the edge of the area. Before the break, A. González could have scored the third, but Fran González denied the attempt with a great save.
Castilla score
After the break, Raúl's team reacted in search of a comeback. Castilla swung in a corner which Lorenzo Aguado flicked on for a lungeing Ribes to slot into the net (52'). However, just nine minutes later, Juan Carlos Real picked up a ball inside the box from a corner and curled his shot past our keeper. Despite the final efforts of the reserve team to reduce the deficit, the scoreline remained unchanged.
