Ancelotti reaches 200 LaLiga games at Real Madrid

2 week(s)

Ancelotti reached 200 games as Real Madrid coach in LaLiga against Celta. After the victory at Balaidos, the Italian now has a record of 143 wins, 33 draws and 24 defeats in this competition, which he has won on two occasions (2021-22 and 2023-24).
During his six seasons as Real Madrid coach, Ancelotti has now become the second coach with the most LaLiga matches and wins in the club's history, behind only Miguel Muñoz in both records. He is also the coach with the best unbeaten run in the history of the competition (42).

After the match, the coach commented on this milestone on Realmadrid TV: "What an achievement. I'm delighted, in how many of these 200 games have we not suffered? We've suffered in all of them, in many we've been successful, and in a few we've been disappointed. Today I'm happy, not only because we've reached 200, but also because we won after the international break. It's always difficult to play this kind of match, especially away from home. We started well after the last break against Real Sociedad and we started well tonight, winning at a difficult ground."
