Fede Valverde played as Uruguay came from behind to beat Colombia in the World Cup 2026 qualifier held at the Estadio Centenario. The madridista was named in the starting lineup and completed the full 90 minutes of a clash, which was decided in a frenetic spell of added time.
Colombia went ahead through Quintero with 31 minutes played, but a Sánchez own goal after the break levelled proceedings (1-1). Uruguay went ahead thanks to Aguirre's effort with an hour gone, but Andrés Gómez made it 2-2 with 96 minutes on the clock. The game wasn't over there, though, and five minutes later, Ugarte got the goal that clinched a 3-2 victory for the home side.
