Monaco, Real Madrid's next opponent in the Champions League, lost at home to Lorient in their Ligue 1 matchday 18 fixture. The French side, who will visit the Bernabéu on matchday eight of the European competition, were unable to get a result at the Stade Louis II.
All the goals came in the second half. Bamba put Lorient ahead (68'), but eight minutes later Ansu Fati levelled the match. In the final minutes, Makengo (85') and Dermane (87') sealed the victory for the visitors.
