The Santiago Bernabéu held a minute's silence before the start of the LaLiga matchday 11 fixture between Real Madrid and Valencia in memory of José Manuel Ochotorena, one of our club's legendary goalkeepers, who passed away at the age of 64, and Julia Sánchez Herrera, grandmother of our captain Dani Carvajal.

Ochotorena defended the Real Madrid colours for six seasons, from 1982 to 1988, during which time he won two UEFA Cups, three La Liga titles and one Copa de la Liga. Ochotorena was also Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper from 1988 to 1992 and the club's goalkeeping coach for more than two decades.
